Pyramid Atlantic Art Center Papermaking Workshop
This past June, you would have found me teaching papermaking at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, which is a fantastic organization in the Washington D.C. area. For 3-days, a full class learned how to making pulptypes and cast collagraphs with pulp.
First, we learned some simple collagraph plate-making approaches, and then inked and sheet-cast them with wet paper pulp.
We also made a healthy pile of black and white, and color, pulptypes. Pulptypes is a way to create images that is informed by printmaking, but uses solely handmade paper pulp as the medium.
