Interview with AS220 - Why I am Obsessed with Papermaking
If you saw my last post, you’ll see that I had a ball teaching an all-day hand papermaking workshop at the AS220 Print Shop. Soon after, I was interviewed by Alison, an AS220 intern, who had these questions for me: What first got you interested in papermaking? What are the advantages to printing on handmade paper? How accessible is papermaking? Will students be able to use these techniques at home? How does making your own paper tie into your artistic process? All very pertinent questions.
